Green Printing and
Sustainable Materials Solutions

We offer material and production options that can help reduce selected environmental impacts across paper sourcing, printing, finishing, waste handling, and packaging. The appropriate solution depends on the product specification, materials, destination market, and available supporting documentation.

Sustainable Options We Support

Environmental options should be selected together with product performance, print quality, packaging protection, and destination-market requirements. We review the complete specification before confirming the suitable material, printing, or packaging option.

FSC Paper Options

We can source FSC-certified paper from qualified suppliers for projects that require responsible paper sourcing.

Before production, we review the selected paper, supplier certification, product specification, and applicable FSC claim. Where available, supporting supplier certification and material documentation can be provided for eligible projects.

If the finished product is required to carry an FSC claim or FSC label, the applicable chain-of-custody requirements, certificate scope, transaction documentation, and trademark conditions must be confirmed before production.

The certificate holder and the scope of the certificate should be identified clearly in the project documentation. A supplier’s FSC certificate should not be presented as EZRA Card’s own certificate unless EZRA Card is the certified organization named on the document.

Recycled Paper Options

We work with multiple paper suppliers to provide recycled and alternative-fiber paper options for suitable projects, including recycled paper and board, cotton fiber, sugarcane bagasse, wheat straw, and bamboo fiber.

Tell us your product requirements, and we can help identify suitable material options and provide available documentation.

Lower-lmpact Inks & Coatings

Available Options

We use soy-based inks and can review additional lower-impact ink and coating options according to the printing process, substrate, drying method, and required finish.

Depending on the application, options may include soy-based or vegetable-oil-based inks, water-based inks, and water-based coatings. These systems may help reduce reliance on some petroleum-based formulations or offer lower VOC potential for suitable applications.

The appropriate ink or coating depends on the printing method, paper or board, drying requirements, color performance, surface protection, and finishing plan. Environmental or chemical claims should be supported by the applicable supplier documentation or test report.

Sustainable Plastic Options

Available Options

In addition to lower-impact ink and paper options, we also support more sustainable plastic packaging solutions. These may include recyclable PE, PP, and PET-based films, as well as compostable or biodegradable materials such as PLA, PHA, and other certified formulations. Paper-based pulp and selected composite materials may also be available depending on the packaging format and project requirements.

Reducing Material Waste

Paper and paperboard waste generated during production is collectedand handled through a unifed waste management process.Recyciable paper offcuts and production waste can be separated fromother production waste and transferred through appropriate recyclingchannels for further processing.Sorting waste by material type helps keep recyclable fiber streamsceaner and supports downstream recycling

Not automatically. Soy-based or vegetable-oil-based inks may reduce reliance on some petroleum-based components, while water-based inks and coatings may offer lower VOC potential for suitable applications.

Final performance and environmental characteristics depend on the specific formulation, printing process, substrate, drying method, coating, and finishing plan. Applicable supplier documentation or test reports should be reviewed for project-specific claims. Explore our printing technologies →

Material efficiency can be considered during sheet layout, card nesting, cutting, material allocation, packaging planning, and assembly preparation.

Clean recyclable paper and board offcuts can be separated from mixed or contaminated waste and transferred through the applicable recycling or waste-management channel. Actual recovery depends on material condition, contamination, local facilities, and the requirements of the waste-management provider. View our production process →

Recyclable packaging is designed to enter a recycling stream where suitable collection and processing facilities are available. Compostable packaging is designed to break down under specified composting conditions, which may require industrial composting facilities.

Bio-based, biodegradable, recyclable, and compostable are not interchangeable terms. The material formulation, certification scope, disposal environment, and destination-market requirements should be confirmed before production. Explore custom card packaging →
